To appreciate this book you don’t have to be an avid gardener, although there are numerous references to wonderful sounding plants so those green fingered will no doubt enjoy an extra dimension!

However if like me you are a fan of Gardener’s World (and always wonder how Monty’s two Golden Retrievers, Nigel and Nellie are never seen digging holes like my two Golden Retrievers do!) then you’ll love this book. Monty is without a doubt a total dog lover and I laughed and cried as he took me through all the dogs that have played a part in his family’s life, in particular the stories of Beaufort and Red who now reside in his garden in the shade of a wild cherry.

Nigel, My Family and Other Dogs by Monty DonThis is top of my list of wonderful dog books to enjoy and we are giving away a copy to one lucky person.

To be in with a chance of winning please go to our Wagging Tails Facebook page, like the page (if you don’t already) and like and share the post about this book.
