Wagging Tails says goodbye to beloved Cocker Spaniel Bailey

The end of an era.... goodbye to our beloved Cocker Spaniel Bailey

Sadly today we had to say goodbye and sweet dreams to our beloved "little old man" Bailey.

Our lovely Cocker Spaniel Bailey was the inspiration behind me setting up Wagging Tails ten years ago, indeed some of you may even remember our first logo - a Cocker Spaniel! At nearly 13 years old we had to make the hardest decision any dog owner faces, when is the right time to say goodbye...

Sadly Bailey's health had deteriorated dramatically over the last few days and he closed his eyes and went to sleep in my arms this morning with our loving Vet and Vet Nurse talking gently to him so he knew there was nothing to be afraid of and how much he was loved by all who knew him.

Cocker Spaniel Bailey, the inspiration behind Wagging Tails

In his prime Bailey was the archetypal Cocker Spaniel; cheerful, amenable, capable of spending all day walking in the forest (and particular partial to visiting a dog friendly pub or two!) but equally at home curled up with you on the sofa. He was a fantastic companion with a huge character and everyone who met him seemed to find it impossible not to fall in love with him. It is with a heavy heart that we say our final farewells to this lovely little man and we would like to thank Dignity Pet Crematorium for providing such a compassionate service in helping us to say goodbye to him.

Sweet dreams Bailey. You will  be much missed and we will love you always xxx
